Introducing Seeds of Knowledge...

It's time for the second group post for the April 2015 Papertrey Ink countdown!  Today we're showcasing some new products designed by Erin Lincoln.  There is a stamp set and coordinating dies called Seeds of Knowledge.  We are also showcasing some new dies called Pencil Blooms, also designed by Erin, which will help you transform ordinary pencils into cute flowers.  (yes, we are on a pencil kick around here!)

All of these new products will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website, beginning at 10pm EST on April 15, 2015.

I created a little gift ensemble with the new Seeds of Knowledge and Pencil Blooms dies, inspired by this image of some pretty paper daisies wrapped in paper...

Here is my bouquet of pencil flowers...

The Pencil Blooms dies have two different flowers that can be stacked and fit perfectly on the end of a pencil.  I diecut several from Fresh Snow Linen, Aqua Mist, Berry Sorbet, and Harvest Gold cardstocks.  I slipped then on the ends of my pencils and wrapped the pencils with some green washi tape.  I also used the leaf die from the Stamp-a-Fair 1940s kit, which works perfectly for this since it has a little stem on it, making it easy to catch in the washi tape as I was wrapping the pencils.

I secured the pencils together with a rubber band, which let me kind of adjust them and move them around until my bouquet looked the way I wanted it to.  Then I wrapped a sheet of gingham paper around them from the Chicken Scratch Gingham paper from last month. I tied some coral raffia from the Party Pops kit and attached a tag which was stamped with images from the Seeds Of Knowledge set and diecut with the coordinating die.

And here is a coordinating card using the same sentiment from Seeds of Knowledge.

I paired the same sentiment from the flower bouquet tag with the sunburst image, also from the Seeds of Knowledge set, all stamped on a Limitless Layers 2 1/2" circle diecut.  I added a few of the cute flowers from the Seeds of Knowledge set as well and layered everything over a Cover Plate: Blue Skies diecut.

I also added one of the pencil flowers to my card using the pencil holder die from the Write Stuff Holders die set.  I cut the pencil down so it wasn't so tall for my card. You might be able to do a cute pen or mechanical pencil as well, if the diameter is right for the Pencil Blooms dies.
