Introducing Graceful Greetings...
April 10, 2015
It's time to kick off the April Papertrey countdown! Today I'm showcasing a new Make It Market A la Carte set I have coming out this month called Graceful Greetings. It's a sentiment set featuring four different large scale sentiments in the same pretty font used in the Beautiful Brushstrokes kit from last summer. Several of you requested some larger, everyday sentiments using that same font, so I'm happy to oblige. There are four sentiments plus a few little flower images that can be stamped on the ends of the flourishes on the sentiments or clustered around it, or however else you'd like to use them!
Graceful Greetings is a $15 set that will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website as of 10pm EST on April 15th.
Let me show you a few projects using the new Graceful Greetings set. Up first is a set of little notecards using the scalloped card base from the Party Pops kit. I used all four sentiments on this little set so you could get a peek at them all...
I used the leaves and flowers from the set to embellish the sentiments. You can see how the flowers can be used on the ends of the flourishes, turning them into stems for the flowers. There are leaves that can be stamped on them as well.
On this one I just clustered some of the flowers above the "thanks" sentiment.
And here's the "hello" sentiment with one of the flowers stamped on the end of the flourish, turning it into a graceful floral stem.

My next card uses the Hello sentiment along with a little bit of a different color combo than what I might typically use, but I love it! I stamped the sentiment in Scarlet Jewel and then clustered some of the florals above and below, stamped with Autumn Rose, Canyon Clay, and Summer Sunrise, with Dark Chocolate leaves.
Along the bottom, I stamped the large chevron border from the Noted set. I inked it up with Smokey Shadow ink, stamped off once onto scrap paper and then misted it with water before stamping it onto my card. I really like how that turned out...I'm going to need to try that again!

Up next I have a card featuring the "happy birthday" sentiment. I heat embossed it with gold powder and then used the small florals from the set to stamp a wreath around it.
I also mixed in a few flower sequins from the Lovely Laurels kit. I used the same misting technique to stamp a little chevron along the bottom. There must have been a tiny bit of residual Smokey Shadow ink on my chevron stamp when I inked it up with Aqua Mist ink, misted with water, and then stamped onto my project...which at first I was like, oops!...but then decided it looked really pretty that way. Don't you love happy accidents?

My last card for today uses a bright and happy color combination along with the You've Been Framed: Hexagon die. I diecut the frame from Fresh Snow Linen cardstock and stamped the sentiment on the hexagon portion, and several flowers on the solid pieces, stamping them off the edge so that when the frame is pieced back together it looks like I masked all of the flowers, but of course didn't have to do that since the die does the work for you!
I diecut the frame again from Aqua Mist cardstock and pieced everything back together. The center hexagon portion is popped up with some foam so I could slip some twine underneath. I added a few flower and leaf sequins from the Lovely Laurels kit around the sentiment to finish it off.
