Papertrey Ink February Release Wrap Up...
February 15, 2015
Wow, can you believe we're already at the end of the Papertrey Ink 8th anniversary celebration? Now all that's left is the shoppin'. :-) All of the products I mention as "new" in today's post - stamps, dies, papers, mini kits (wowee there was a LOT of new stuff this month!) will go up for sale in the Papertrey Ink store tonight -- February 15th at 10pm EST.
I have a few more projects to share with you to wrap up the release and the anniversary celebration.
First up is a project using Lizzie's new Etched Easter Eggs set along with my new Quilted: Spring and Bitty Bouquets sets. I diecut that beautiful egg from the new Luxe Gold cardstock and backed it with Aqua Mist cardstock and added a few gems.
I layered it over a Quilted: Spring diecut, which was stamped with the coordinating image from the Quilted: Spring stamp set. You'll see a little bit of gold peeking out from underneath - I also snuck in a quilt block diecut from the Make It Market: County Fair kit, which I diecut from Luxe Gold cardstock and placed under the Quilted: Spring diecut. I tucked a few Bitty Bouquet tulips in the corners. The sentiment along the bottom is from the Etched Easter Eggs set as well.
*NEW* supplies not linked, but available from Papertrey Ink on February 15th at 10pm EST: Bitty Bouquets stamp set and coordinating dies, Quilted: Spring stamp set and coordinating dies, Etched Easter Eggs stamp set and coordinating dies, (Make It Market: County Fair quilt block die - no longer available)
Up next is a card using Maile's new Beautiful Butterflies Layers and Swoosh sets, along with her new Watercolor Wonder paper pad. I diecut the butterflies from both True Black and Stamper's Select cardstock. I stamped on the white diecuts using Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise, and Sweet Blush inks, then layered them over the black diecuts with foam.
I stacked them all down the center of a panel of the Watercolor Wonder patterned paper and stamped the "thanks" sentiment from Swoosh along the bottom. I tied some black baker's twine around the top.

Up next is a card that combines the new Monthly Moments: Year Round Mini with a few other new things! I started with the new Blue Skies: Cover Plate and Blue Skies: Rays dies layered over a Sweet Blush card base. Then I stamped this fun April Showers...sentiment using several different elements...
The months "april" and "may" were stamped using the Year Round Mini set (such a fun font!). "Showers" was stamped using the previously released Scattered Showers set. The rain drops were stamped with the new Blue Skies set and the tulips are from Bitty Bouquets. The word "bring" was cut using the Polka Dot Parade alphabet set. I added a few rainstones as a finishing touch.

Up next is a really quick and easy Easter card and I just love the way it turned out! It just LOOKS like Easter morning to me...I love Easter morning - one of my favorite days of the year. I started with a Cover Plate: Blue Skies diecut which was cut from white cardstock. Then I cut the additional Blue Skies: Rays die from a piece of scrap paper. I used it as a mask to sponge some Harvest Gold ink. It turned out so pretty!
I used the Alleluia sentiment from the new Easter Alleluias set - that font is one of my absolute favorites lately...it's just so pretty. I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed it with gold powder. Then I stamped the "up from the grave..." sentiment using Classic Kraft ink. A sprinkling of yellow sequins finishes it off. Oh, and I adhered it to a "short" card base that is just the height of the straight edge of the Cover Plate so that the diecut edge would really stand out.

Next is a pretty and springy card using my new Quilted: Spring set. This time I didn't use the quilt block die, I simply stamped all of the bits and pieces directly onto my cardstock panel. I used Harvest Gold and Hibiscus Burst inks.
When I had the quilt block all stamped I layered a flower cluster from the Quilted: Spring set over the top and stamped the "together" sentiment from the set along the bottom in Hibiscus ink.

My last card for today combines a few different sets - the flowers are from the new Bitty Bouquets set, which I diecut and stamped and then placed in the center of the wreath from the Make It Market Mini Lovely Laurels set.
I added the bow from Lovely Laurels to the stems of my bouquet and added a few leaf and flower sequins from the kit as well. The Mother's Day sentiment is from the new Keep It Simple: Mother's Day set.
