All Things Spring (Introducing Quilted: Spring & Easter Alleluias)...

8th Ann-logo

The Papertrey team is back again for another day of big reveals for the 8th Anniversary celebration!  Today we're unveiling all sorts of springy related products.

I have a few Make It Market A la Carte items being revealed again today.  Remember the quilt die from the County Fair kit?  Many of you have requested more quilt dies and today I'm happy to report that you'll be getting them!  There will be a total of four sets in the new Quilted series -- one for each season.  Quilted: Spring is being released this month.  It's a $15 stamp set inspired by the Wedding Ring quilt block, along with a coordinating die.  The set contains lots of images for adding details to the quilt block, a few sentiments, and a pretty multi-step flower bouquet.  The sentiments are centered around love and marriage...perfect of the Wedding Ring block and this time of year.

The other Make It Market A la Carte set I'm showing today is called Easter Alleluias...a pretty sentiment set filled with inspirational Easter messages.  I think this set fills a void in this area, at least in my stamp collection.  It's hard to find good religious sets that are in keeping with the current font trends.  That was my goal with this set, anyway...I may or may not have accomplished that...I'll let you be the judge.  :-)

All of the products I list as new in this post will be available to purchase from the Papertrey Ink website as of 10pm EST on February 15, 2015.

So let's get on to the projects, shall we?  I have a ton to show you again today!

Up first is a soft and pretty Easter card that combines one of the sentiments from the Easter Alleluias set with the tulip bouquet from Bitty Bouquets, which was revealed yesterday.

I started off by smooshing (there's that word again! :-) ) some Aqua Mist and Limeade Ice inks onto a panel of white cardstock.  After it dried I stamped and embossed the He is Risen sentiment using gold embossing powder.  I added a bunch of the small tulip bouquets around the sentiment to form a wreath.

My next card features some more watercoloring.  This time I inked up a clear block with Lavender Moon, Aqua Mist, and Harvest Gold inks, spritzed with water and pressed it onto a white cardstock panel.  I added a bit of embossing with a die that you'll see more of a little later in the week.

I added a diecut hill which was cut using the In The Meadow dies.  I stamped three crosses and the sentiment  - all from the Easter Alleluias set using Versamark ink and heat embossed them with gold powder.  I aded a few Rainstones to the background as well.

Next up is a bright and colorful rainbow card -- probably not your typical Easter color combo, but why not?  Easter should be bright and celebratory, as far as I'm concerned!  :-)  I started by stamping the dotted sun rays from the Hello Sunshine set onto a panel of white cardstock using lots of different ink colors.  Then I diecut a circle using the Shaker Shapes: Circle die collection and stamped the "He is risen..." sentiment using True Black ink.

There are a few little images in the Easter Alleluias set that can be used to embellish your sentiments.  One of them is the small sunburst I used here.  It also has a small cross that can be stamped inside to create a multi-color image.  I added lots of colorful sequins to the stamped rays to finish it off.

Next I have a few cards using the new Quilted: Spring stamp set and dies.  This is a fun set to play around with...lots of different options and possibilities when you consider the dies too.

First is a soft and pretty card that would be perfect for a wedding or anniversary.  I used several of the Quilted: Spring block diecuts and arranged them at an angle.  They were stamped with the main image from the set - the large ring, which is all one piece making it quick and easy to stamp.  However, the sections of the ring are far enough apart that you could ink them up in different colors if you wish.  There are several other smaller images that you can choose to use or not, allowing you to make your block very detailed, or to keep it simple.  I kept it simple here and just used the main circle image stamped in Fine Linen ink.

The floral cluster is also found in the Quilted: Spring set.  It's a multi-step image, allowing you to customize the colors to match your project. The sentiment is also found in the Quilted: Spring set.

My next project goes all out and uses all of the different images found in the set to add lots of details to my quilt block.  There are stitches for the center diamond portion, the corners, and also the little pointed ovals.  The main ring was stamped in Fresh Snow ink onto True Black cardstock.

Notice the pretty background?  That's a new die called Cover Plate: Stitched, designed by Nichole.  Isn't it pretty?  It goes perfectly with the quilt block.  I diecut it from Smokey Shadow cardstock and stamped some of the flowers from Quilted: Spring in the corners using True Black ink.

My last project today doesn't use the stamps, just the Quilted: Spring die to create a very graphic card.  Since the die cuts all of these geometric shapes, it's super fun to play around with...tons of different arrangement and layout possibilities.  Here I stacked three of the blocks and trimmed off the excess at the top and bottom.  I filled in the petal areas with pieces cut from various colors.

For a border along each edge I lined up several of the little petal shapes.  I punched some 3/4" circles from white cardstock and stamped them with a circle from Polka Dot Basics III and layered an enamel dot over the top.  The sentiment is from the new Swoosh set being released this month.  I diecut the "hello" from black cardstock and stamped the "just a note" using True Black ink.
