Papertrey Ink December 2014 Release Wrap up & Make It Market: You're a Masterpiece Peek...

Good morning, Monday!  The past week has been a bit of a whirlwind around here, so I'm ready to welcome a new week.  I'm kind of strange in that I actually enjoy Monday mornings!  This morning I have lots to show you.  Tonight's the night that all of the new December products go up on the Papertrey Ink website.  You can begin shopping at 10pm EST time.

I have several more projects to share with you today using the December line-up, but before I do, I have a Make it Market Kit peek!  Need to add a little color to those cold, drab January days?  We have just the thing with the latest Make It Market Kit called You’re a Masterpiece.  It’s sure to bring out your inner artist!  There are so many design options, ranging from elegant everyday cards and projects, to bright and colorful interactive cards for kids.  There are some cool dies that I’m pretty excited to share with you on reveal day!  There will be lots of projects and a video or two as well…I hope you’ll join me for the full reveal, which will take place on the 31st as usual, but note that the actual release date for the kit is being pushed back to January 5th, so we can all enjoy the New Year's holiday.  Release will happen at 10pm EST on January 5th instead.

Now for the rest of my release projects!

First up is a card using Erin's new Love Notes set.  I adore this big two step "LOVE" sentiment.  So cool.  I stamped it twice onto a panel of white cardstock using Berry Sorbet and Aqua Mist inks, then heat embossed the detail lettering with gold powder.

I added the "sending" sentiment banner from the Big Hugs set over the top, also heat embossed with gold.  I also added a decorative element across the top, which is from the previously released Over Under Easy set.  The "happy anniversary" along the bottom is from the new Love Notes set as well.

My next card uses Lizzie's new Drips and Dribbles set.  What a fun one!  I combined this set with the stack of cups and a sentiment from the previously released Latte Love set.

I stamped the cups onto a Journal Card 7 diecut (also new this month) and colored them with some Copics.  I added some coffee splotches and rings using the new Drips & Dribbles set.

My next project uses the new Phrase Play #11 die and stamps.  I filled in several of the negative areas with different patterned papers.

I used the Shaker Shapes: Circle dies to cut the star confetti which I was able to quickly string onto some silver thread and attach to some little brads to create some banners.

Next up is a Block Party card using Lizzie's new set.  I paired it with the sweet bear from Polka Dot Parade #4 for a baby card.

I stacked up several of the different blocks, then added in a few bears peeking out from around the blocks.  The sentiment is also from the Block Party set.

My next project today uses the new Little Human set.  That little robot is just so cute!  I left him kind of in pieces and paired him with some sentiments from the Love You to Pieces Additions set.  It's a perfect combination, I think!

I really like that fun nuts and bolts hexagon border.  I added a stamped grid along the bottom, which is from Background Basics: Geometrics.

One last little tag for you today using the new Hello There stamps and dies.  I used the cupcake image and layered it over a Stitched Tag diecut.

I added a sentiment from the Hello There set along with the diecut dotted border.  I embellished my cupcake with the tiny cherry from the set and also some fake sprinkles from the Shakers & Sprinkles kit.
