Introducing Cuppa Love...

Time for another Papertrey Ink group post for the November countdown!  Today the team is featuring a new stamp set and coordinating dies called Cuppa Love.  It's a super sweet get well themed set inspired by vintage Pyrex and Fire King dishes.  I love anything from this era, so it's right up my alley!

The Cuppa Love stamp set and coordinating dies will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website as of 10pm EST on November 15th.

I created a couple of projects for you today using the new Cuppa Love stamp set and dies...

First up is a shaped get well card using the mug die which is large enough to be used like one of the Shape-Up series dies, meaning you can use it to create a card base.  I just started with a standard card base with the fold at the top and positioned my die so that the top edge extended just a bit beyond the folded edge so it wouldn't cut the fold.  The result is a fun, mug-shaped card base.

I stamped it with some of the images included in the Cuppa Love stamp set and attached a tag - this sweet tag die is included in the Cuppa Love die collection and there are a handful of senitments in the stamp set that coordinate with the tag.  I love this die - it has a great embossed detail...I'm always a sucker for that!

My color combo was inspired by this image of vintage Pyrex...

My next card uses the mug die on a regular card base.  This time I trimmed off the bottom pedestal portion to create more of a traditional mug shape.

Cuppa-bright

I stamped it with some flower images from the Cuppa Love stamp set and added some bright cardstock stripes.  There is a little pocket die included in the set which you can attach to the cup to hold a tea bag -- I chose to diecut it from vellum and tuck it inside my mug to actually look like a tea bag instead.  I stapled some twine attached to a tag to the top of it.  I also stamped a "get well" sentiment on one of the stripes from the Keep It Simple: Get Well set.

Again, I had a little vintage inspiration for the color combo for this card:

Such a fun set, don't you think?  The projects come together so easily...and those flower stamps and tag die are so universal, you could use them for so many different projects!

To see more of the Cuppa Love set in action be sure to hop around to the other DT girls...
