More Sparkle & Shine and Shaker Shapes: Snow Globe...

Good morning!  We're on Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink September countdown and I'm back to show you a little more of the new Make It Market A La Carte products being released this month.  Like I mentioned yesterday, we are releasing SIX new sets of Shaker Shapes dies...perfect for creating shaker elements, but also great to use as basic frames and non-shaker elements!  All of the products I mention as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website at 10pm Eastern time on September 15th.

Three of the shapes being released are holiday-themed shapes and today I wanted to show you more of the Shaker Shapes: Snow Globe dies.  I'm excited about these because I think it will be so fun to fill them with all sorts of different things!  The snow globe is large enough that it should work well with lots of different stamp images and dies.  I made a couple of cards for you today....

The first card uses the adorable snowman from the previously released Made of Snow Mini stamp set and dies.  He's a perfect fit inside the Shaker Shapes: Snow Globe.  You'll notice the snowflake cut-outs behind him...that is a die that's included in the Snow Globe set.  If you remember how the Shakers + Sprinkles dies had confetti pieces nested in them, I did that same sort of thing with all of the new Shaker Shapes dies.  Each set has some companion pieces of some sort.  The Snow Globe has the snowflakes...which are designed so that you can use the actual snowflake cut-outs AND you can also use the negative.  I did both on this card.  I used the negative as a background insdie the shaker and the actual snowflake cut-outs as filler for the shaker.  Fun!!  :-)

The Snow Globe set also has a separate die for the base and a die for a small label where a sentiment can be added.  The sentiment I used here is from the previously released Rustic Wreath set.  the patterned paper in the background is from the new Sparkle & Shine patterned paper pack being released this month.

My next card uses the Shaker Shapes: Snow Globe die for a little more elegant look.  This time I stamped that beautiful tree from the new O'Tannenbaum set being released this month.  The sentiment was stamped inside using the Sparkle & Shine Holiday Additions set.

I added the "sparkle" diecut to the front of the snowglobe.  I ran it through my xyron and coated it with glitter.  I cut the base of the snow globe from kraft cardstock and stamped it with BB: Woodgrain.  I added some trees and stars from the O'Tannenbaum set to the background.

So what would you fill the Snow Globe with?  I'm thinking In the Meadow would be adorable!  Or Nativity Silhouettes, or Winter Penguin...just to name a few.  Can't wait to play around with it more!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll be back again tomorrow to show you more.  :-)
