Introducing Book Club + Shaker Shapes: Square dies...

Introducing Sparkle & Shine, NEW! Shaker Shapes dies...

It's another group post day for the Papertrey Ink September countdown!  For the past several days I've been showing you peeks of the Sparkle & Shine stamps, papers, and Shaker Shapes dies.  Well today the whole team is playing along!  yay!  I can't wait to see what they've all created with these new stamps and dies.  All of the new Sparkle & Shine products and Shaker Shapes dies will be available for purchase on the Papertrey Ink website as of 10pm eastern time on September 15th.

So today I have a couple of fun projects for you.  One holiday themed and the other is an everyday card...and for a BOY no less!  Yes, boys can sparkle & shine a little too, don't you think?  But before we go on to the projects, I have a few videos for you.  This first one showcases the new Sparkle & Shine Sequin dies and tells you a little about how they work - they're a little different than our regular dies in that they are meant to emboss as well, so there is a little added step...I'll show you all of that in the video!

My next video is all about the Shaker Shapes dies.  I'll show you each of the 6 different die collections as well as how to assemble a shaker element using the dies.

So now for the projects!  First up, let me show you some fun holiday tags made with the Shaker Shapes: Tree dies and the Sparkle & Shine Holiday Additions stamp set.  The Shaker Shapes: Tree dies have so many fun bits and pieces!  There is the backer and the front stitched frame, of course, but nested inside are also the strands of lights that coordinate with the stamps in the Sparkle & Shine Holiday Additions stamp set...

...AND there are little single light dies to create confetti to fill the shaker!  I think they turned out so cute!  There is also a separate little rectangle die for the tree trunk.  I diecut the backer for the tree out of the sunburst paper from the Sparkle & Shine paper pad.  The sentiment stamped inside is of course from the Sparkle & Shine Holiday Additions set as well.  The "shine" diecut word is from the coordinating word die set.

Up next is a card that would be perfect for your little sports nut!  I used the Shaker Shapes: Star die along with the Have a Ball stamp set to create this cute little boyish card.  All of the different sized stars were cut using the Shaker Shapes: Star dies.

Time-to-shine

As usual there is the backer and the stitched frame for the Shaker Shapes: Star die set...there is also a smaller star, and a whole bunch of star-shaped confetti.  Just like several of the other shaker dies, the star confetti is laid out in a star shape so that the negative portion can be used as well.  I just used a few of the confetti pieces here as accents.  The shaker is filled with the silver star confetti from the Shakers + Sprinkles kit.  The "it's your time" sentiment is from the Sparkle & Shine stamp set.
