Here is a card I created with the Filled With Joy set. I just love the leaves...I think there is so much potential for building various designs and patterns. On my card today I stamped one of the larger leaves in True Black ink, rotating it and kind of nesting it inside the curve of the previously stamped leaf to create a border.
I stamped and fussy cut the flowers using Berry Sorbet and Raspberry Fizz inks. The centers of the circles coordinated nicely with 3/4" and 1/2" circle punches.
Supplies not linked: Filled With Joy Stamp-A-Faire exclusive set available as outlined above

Now for a little update on a few Make It Market Kit details. There are a few County Fair kits left, but inventory is getting low. It's highly likely that they will sell out at some point on Saturday during Stamp-A-Faire, so if you've been thinking about getting one this is the time (Sautrday would be a great time as it will earn you the free SAF set!). For a refresher on the contents of the County Fair kit see Nichole's post HERE or my posts HERE and HERE. I also have a few new projects using this kit a little later in this post today...sneak peek above! :-)
Also, they have a small amount of inventory of the Shakers + Sprinkles kit due to returns and overstock from the pre-orders. They will be making these available Saturday morning. For a refresher on the contents of that kit you can see Nichole's post HERE, or my post HERE.
Now for a few more projects using the County Fair kit. I've been itching to play around a little more with the elements in the kit, especially the stamps, but it's been so busy around here! I decided to treat myself to a little stamping therapy time the other morning on my kids' first day of school.
My first card uses the paisley stamps from the County Fair stamp set. I just love bright paisley prints and this card has been rolling around in my head ever since I first got the stamps...I just never had time to stamp it out!
There are several different paisley elements that are meant to allow you to "build" colorful paisleys. So fun! The sentiments are from the County Fair set as well. The "enjoy" die is also in the kit. A paper straw across the top is a fun dimensional finishing touch, also from the kit.
When I create my projects for the kit introduction I like to stick to the kit contents exlusively, because I think the kits are well rounded enough that you can sit down with just that and your inks and cardstocks and create lots and lots of projects. But, my mind is always thinking about what other fun possibilities there are for combining the kit contents with the rest of my stash! My next card uses elements from the kit with some non-kit items mixed in. I combined the Ferris wheel dies and stamps from the kit with the Sunrise Impression Plate and Cloud dies (the latter two items are not included in the kit). I kind of love assembling these little ferris wheels...they just turn out so cute!
Sometimes when I'm creating with the kits I get sort of stuck in the color scheme set out by the kit's contents, but the great thing about stamps and dies is that I can vary the color scheme to my heart's content. The colors in this card match the Shakers + Spinkles kit color scheme, so I pulled out my paper pad from that kit and added a panel of it behind my ferris wheel. I added a fun brad to the center of my ferris wheel too.
I've also been itching to try combining the On the Farm stamp set with the Bandana Cover Plate die from the kit, so that's what I did for this last card today! I thought this would be so cute for a little boy's birthday. I adhered the Bandana diecut at an angle, just partially covering my card base to look like a bandana tied around your neck.
I trimmed some sort of teardrop-shaped pieces from the leftover scrap of the bandana diecut to resemble a knot or tie. I just did this free hand, really not hard at all. Along the bottom I stamped a few sentiments from the On the Farm set along with a little herd of cows, also from On the Farm.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're all ready for a fun and crafty day tomorrow!
