Wish You Were Here...
July 13, 2014
Welcome to the first group post day for the July 2014 Papertrey Ink countdown. Today the team is showcasing a whole line-up of new travel-themed products. All of the products mentioned as new in this post will be available for purchase on July 15th from the Papertrey Ink website.
Let me show you my projects and tell you a little about the new stamps and dies I used to create them.
First up is a card using the new Pack Your Bags set by Dawn. I went a little off the beaten path and stamped those cute suitcases in neon colors.
I combined the new Pack Your Bags suitcase images and coordinating dies along with a few previously released sets -- World Map and Postmarks.

My next project uses the new Get Lost stamp set...this set is an amazing collection of different travel related sentiments. There are so many different elements that can be used as focal point sentiments, little details to use as embellishments, etc. I used one of the sentiments from the set on a super quick and easy home decor piece.
I printed a few favorite scenic pictures from past vacations, sized to fit inside the Slide Frame die. I stamped the "Let's Get Lost" sentiment from the Get Lost stamp set onto one of the photos using white Staz On ink. I backed everything with some map print patterned paper. After I chose and printed my photos, assembling the project took me less than 10 minutes! And it looks cute sitting next to a globe and an old camera on the entertainment center in our family room.

last project today features Lizzie's new These United States stamp set and state dies. I used them along with the new Luggage Tag die to create a fun mini album showcasing a few favorite photos from last year's vacation.
For the front cover I created a shaker element using the luggage tag and filled it with some sand we had collected from one of the beaches on Lake Superior. Inside I also placed a diecut of Wisconsin, which I also diecut a heart from the center of so that I could frame the little sailboat in my photo.
For the "pages" of the album, I sandwiched two photos between two luggage tags and held them all together with the strap that's also included in the die collection. It was really easy to put together.
