Make It Market Kit: Beautiful Brushstrokes - More Projects...

I'm back with a few more projects using the new Make It Market: Beautiful Brushstrokes kit from Papertrey Ink.  I mentioned the other day that I created 19 projects so far using this kit, and for those of you counting (you warned me you would!!), today's projects are #12-14....five more to go, which I'll share tomorrow.

This is a set of easy notecards I created using the kit.  All of the stamping was done on the watercolor paper included in the kit, but I didn't really use any special techniques, just good old-fashioned stamping.  I did sort of roll some of the smaller flower images in my ink pads to get uneven ink coverage, which sort of mimics a watercolor/painted effect.  I also used some second generation stamping (stamping multiple times without re-inking).

I created a small bundle of four notecards and tied them up with the twine from the kit.  I created a tag using the label stamp/die.  The "for you" was stamped using the "so happy for you" sentiment with a little masking off.

My next project uses the feather stamps and dies from the Additions set, which is also included in the kit.  I stamped several of the feathers onto my white card base using Fine Linen ink, then layered diecut feathers over the top, stamped in Spring Rain, Winter Wisteria, and Aqua Mist inks.

I used a water brush to add a few splatters and I also added a few of the Rainstones from the kit, sprinkled among the feathers.  The twine at the top coordinates perfectly with the Papertrey colors I used here.

My next card has a totally different feel than anything else I created using this kit.  I thought the flower images would be perfect for fall as well, when stamped in deeper colors.  Here I used Orange Zest, Canyon Clay, and Terracotta Tile for the smaller rose and Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy, and Scarlet Jewel for the larger flower.

I heat embossed the sentiment onto Smokey Shadow cardstock for a chalkboard-like effect and stamped the frame outline image using True Black ink.  I backed everyting with the yellow watercolor print paper from the paper pad in the kit and put it on a Terracotta Tile base.

That wraps ups my projects for today, but I'll be back with the rest tomorrow!  I'm excited for all of you that ordered your kits to get them and start creating!  I hope you enjoy stamping with this set as much as I have.
