Introducing Make it Market: Beautiful Brushstrokes + June Release Wrap-up...
June 15, 2014
Well, we've come to the end of another Papertrey Ink release! I can't believe how fast the week went! All of the new products will be up in the store tonight, June 15, at 10pm EST.
I have some fun things to share with you today. First off is a peek at the next Make it Market kit, which will be available for purchase on July 1st!
The next Make It Market kit is called Beautiful Brushstrokes and it's a collection of different stamps and surfaces that will allow you to experiment with all sorts of watercolor techniques. The main stamp set in the kit was designed to work well with watercolor techniques, but there are also "stamp and go" options for when you don't feel like getting messy, but still achieve a pretty painterly look. There are some fun embellishments that go perfectly with the theme as well. I can't wait to show you everything in full! The full reveal will take place on June 30th and the kit will be available for purchase on July 1.
Now for the rest of my June release projects!
Fist up is a card using Friendly Flowers. I used a rather unusual color combo...red leaves instead of green, but that's what's fun about stamping, right? :-)
I layered a bunch of the flowers over a Stitched Rectangle die. I love the font Dawn used for the sentiments in this set too...so pretty.

Supplies not linked, but available at 10pm EST on June 15 from Papertrey Ink: Topiary Trio stamp set and coordinating dies, Keep it Simple: Wedding
Up next is a card using the new Phrase Play #5. I diecut it from white cardstock, left the inner parts of the letter inside the diecut, then used Copic Markers to add some color to them.
Behind the diecut I put a panel of Aqua Mist cardstock which I stamped multiple times with the "birthday" sentiment from the coordinating Phrase Play #5 stamp set. The "birthday" diecut is from the Birthday Trio die set.

Lastly today, I have a card using the new Cat's Meow set. I used just the ball of yarn from the set and paired it with a sentiment from Purls of Wisdom.
I stamped a bunch of Scribble Circles, then layered the diecut yarn balls over the top. I thought the sentiment was perfect for this!
