Update on the Make It Market: Shakers + Sprinkles Kit...

Shakers + sprinkles

Well, the good news is that lots and lots of you are excited about the new Make It Market: Shakers + Sprinkles kit!  The bad news is that we crashed the Papertrey Ink website.  :-(  I'm so sorry that so many of you had trouble placing an order the other night.  I can't imagine how frustrating it was (well, I sort of can, because it was frustrating to watch, too...trust me!).  It's an incredible feeling to know that you want to spend your hard-earned crafting dollars on a product I designed and I want you to know how thankful I am for all of you and your support of this new endeavor -- especially during this intitial time while we work through the kinks and come up with solutions for making this a pleasant experience for everyone (a crystal ball would be handy, if any of you happen to have one lying around!).

BUT, the other good news is that because of the difficulties with the site, they've decided to open it up to pre-orders (read the announcement on Nichole's blog HERE).  So, if you were not able to get onto the site on release night, you are now able to pre-order the kit HERE.  You have until Monday, May 5th, at 11:30pm EST to place your pre-order.  After that they will compile the orders and set the wheels in motion for acquiring all of the individual bits and pieces to put the extra kits together.  Please note that they don't have a definite time-line as to when the pre-order kits will ship.  At this point they are estimating a 2-4 week time frame, but it will all depend on how quickly the manufacturers will be able the get the kit contents into their hands.  If you were one of the lucky ones able to get your order through on release night, your kits are ready to go and will ship out very soon.

Again, thank you so much for your overwhelming response to this kit...hopefully it's onward and upward from here and we can learn from this and make it better in the future.  I'll leave you with one more card that I made with the kit that I didn't share the other day...

Scatter Sunshine Simple1

I used the inside of the rectangular frame as the base behind my sentiment.  I diecut the "scatter" word twice (once from Enchanted Evening and once from Berry Sorbet cardstock) and layered them.  The sun which is included in the stamp set was stamped in the upper right corner.  I scattered a few sequins and starburst diecuts in the background.  The sunray paper in the background is from the kit as well.  Just a quick and easy card...
