Introducing Ballerina Beauty + Delicate Details dies...

We're on Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink May countdown!  I'm here today to help introduce some of the new products that will be available on May 15th from Papertrey Ink.  All of the products I mention as "new" in this post will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm EST on May 15, 2014 from the Papertrey Ink site.

I'll be showing you projects today using the new Ballerina Beauty stamp set and the Delicate Details die collection.  Ballerina Beauty is an adorable $5 mini set that really packs a punch.  I just love the adorable ballerina that Nichole designed...she's just SO cute.  Lots of great sentiments too, as well as some cute little flower and star accents.  I can't believe how much she packed into this little $5 set.  There is a coordinating die as well.

The Delicate Details die collection is a set of three intricate dies that are just beautiful.  There is a large medallion, a label, and a smaller flourish/medallion.

Let me show you some projects using these new stamps and dies.

My first card uses Ballerina Beauty to create a shaker card.  (I want to put everything inside a shaker...someone stop me!!!).  That adorable ballerina fits perfectly inside the oval frame from the Shakers + Sprinkles kit.  I filled the shaker with pink sequins and stars (also from the Shakers + Sprinkles kit).

The diecut label along the bottom is from the new Delicate Details die collection.  The "happy birthday" sentiment is from the Ballerina Beauty set.  The background was stamped with a new background set coming out this month called Super Chevrons.

My next card uses only the Ballerina Beauty set...nothing else added in!  I diecut three of the ballerinas from white cardstock, stamped them with Memento ink and colored them with my Copics.  I then added some details to their tutus.  I put a strip of 1/8" Scor Tape and pleated a small strip of white tulle.  Then I layered another piece of 1/8" Scor Tape over that and added a small piece of sequin trim (I had this in my stash, I think I might have picked it up at Wal-mart at one time).

Dance&twirl

Here's a close-up, but I'm not sure how well you can see the tulle...it's so cute in real life!  I also used a Wink of Stella glitter pen to add some shine to their tutus.  I love the sentiment here too, also from the Ballerina Beauty set.  What little girl doesn't love to "dance & twirl", especially on her birthday?  The little flowers and leaves are from Ballerina Beauty as well...there are dies in the set for those too!

Here is one more card using Ballerina Beauty.  I love the way her hand is positioned...it's just beggin to put something there for her to hold.  There are lots of possibilities...I chose to use a star from the Super Star set and I also stamped the dotted lines from that set coming off the star.  They are both embossed with gold powder.

Be the Star

The sentiment I used here is also from the Super Stars set...I thought it was perfect for this cute little ballerina.  The small stars stamped in the background are from the Ballerina set.

My last card for you today uses just the large medallion from the new Delicate Details die collection.  I diecut it from some white cardstock as well as from some very thin foam.  I adhered this to an Aqua Mist background.  Then I diecut the medallion again from Berry Sorbet and Harvest Gold cardstocks and pieced some of the negative pieces from the diecut back into my main white diecut.   Yes, it was a bit of insanity, but it wasn't too bad!  :-)

Sympathy Medallion

I chose to finish it off with just a simple "with sympathy" sentiment heat embossed with white powder.  This sentiment is from the latest in the Keep It Simple series...Keep It Simple: Sympathy, being released this month as well.
