Introducing Special Delivery...

We are getting there, Papertrey fans! There's so much great stuff this month that we have THREE group posts instead of our usual two. Today the team is showcasing Erin's new sets called Special Delivery and Special Delivery Sentiments.  Erin did such a great job designing these sets...all of the little details she included are just amazing!

These new stamp sets and coordinating dies will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink store as of 10pm EST on February 15.

Let me show you a few projects. I chose to work with the ice cream truck...the adorable little ice cream cone and all of the possibilities for combining other elements with it just sucked me right in and I couldn't wait to play around with it.

First off is a card.  I added lots of fun details both from the Special Delievery set and some previously released sets. I had fun decorating my truck...for inspiration I searched "ice cream truck" on Pinterest and there were so many cute ideas! You really should do a search and take a peek.

To create the scene I made a banner using the Tiny Triangles stamp set stamped onto triangles which were cut using the Cover Plate: Triangle die. The sun is from City Scene. The sentiment is from the new Special Delivery Sentiments set.  One more thing to note - I used the new Cover Plate: Stripes Verticle die with my embossing mats to create the striped texture.

My next project uses many of the same elements, just simplified a bit. This time I created a gift card holder that I thought would be the perfect way to present my kids' teachers with a little treat at the end of the year. These would be really quick to put together - I didn't diecut the truck, just simply stamped it right onto the gift card diecut.  The ice cream cone was the only element that was added as a diecut.

Everything on the gift card holder is from the Special Delivery and Sentiments sets.  Inside it reads "Newsflash! School's out for the summer" which is from the coordinating sentiment set.
