Introducing Doodlie-do...

It's time for the second group post for the Papertrey Ink January countdown!   Today the team is featuring projects using a new set designed by Nichole called Doodlie-do.  It's FULL of beautiful floral images - I don't know how she does it!  There are some fun and unique sentiments included as well. There are also coordinating dies.

This new stamp set and coordinating dies (as well as anything else I mention as "new" in this post) will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website as of 10pm EST on January 15th.

Let me show you a few projects I created using the new Doodle-do stamps and dies.  This set is perfect for all sorts of different techniques...for my first card I heat embossed the images with white embossing powder and then watercolored them with Gelatos (used the same technique I shared HERE).

I love the way the flowers turned out using this technique!  No two are the same.  For the base of my card, I used the Boutique Accessory Card die to cut a window in the front.  I backed this window with Clear Cardstock which I stamped with the new BB: Diagonals and white Staz On ink.

For the sentiment, I stamped it on clear cardstock, again using white Staz On, then layered it over a Stitched Pinked Edge Label die.

Supplies not linked, but available on January 15th from Papertrey Ink: Doodlie-do stamp set and coordinating dies (please note that I did not receive my dies in time to create my project, so all of my images were hand-cut), Background Basics: Diagonals stamp set

My next card has a simpler look...I used the same idea for creating multi-layer images from a single stamp that I featured in last week's Make it Monday video.

 Pieced-Doodles

I pieced the leaves and flowers together.  For the large circular flower in the corner I used various circle punches instead of having to hand-cut everything.  I stamped some of the flower images in the background as well using Aqua Mist ink.
