Introducing Papertrey Ink Four Square

Button Boutique Revisited...

Hello 2014!  It's the first of the year and it's the first of the month and that means it's time for the monthly Papertrey Ink Sr Team challenge.  Each month the team pulls out an older set and brings you some fresh inspiration.  This month we are featuring Button Boutique.

This set is so much fun to play with.  After doing a quick Pinterest search, I was drawn to some images of vintage button cards that included these beauitful little clusters of millinery-style flowers.

I decided it would be fun to try to recreate the same look using some flower stamps and dies.

I used the small flowers and leaves from the new The Best is Yet To Be set.  I knotted some twine and pulled it through the center of each flower, leaving a length of twine to be used as the flower stems.  Then I gathered them into a cluster and wrapped the stems with washi tape to create a little corsage-like element. A few bright-colored buttons finish off the button card.

I created another flower cluster to use on my tag, which combined several different elements from the Button Boutique set stamped onto a Tag Sale #4 die.

I had fun pulling the Button Boutique set out once again and I hope you're inspired to do so if you have this set in your collection (or maybe inspired to add it to your collection if you don't! :-) ).

Now be sure to hop around to the other Sr Team members to see the fresh projects they've created using Button Boutique...
