Introducing Stitched with Love and Background Basics: Needlepoint...

Hello and welcome to day one of the Papertrey Ink November countdown! Today I get to help introduce a couple of new sets being released this month.

The first is called Stitched with Love and was designed by Melissa Bickford.  It contains lots of fun images like buttons, stitching, an embroidery hoop and more.  There are lots of layering and building possibilities.  There are coordinating dies as well.

The second set is a new background set called Background Basics: Needlepoint and it was designed by Dawn McVey.  It's a great basic that I had fun playing around with and can see myself reaching for often.

All of the products I mention as new in today's post will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website on November 15th at 10pm EST.

How about a few projects using these new sets?  (please excuse my photos today...it's been dark and dreary here!)

My first card is quite simple and straight forward, using several of the images from Stitched with Love.  The large pinked circle die from the set coordinates with the large stitched circle.  The sweet embroidery hoop fits inside perfectly.

The flower button images are from the new set as well, along with the dies that coordinate.  The strip in the background is from the new BB: Needlepoint set.  I stamped one of the designs onto Sweet Blush cardstock using Hibiscus ink.

My next card features several images from the new Stitched with Love set and a few other goodies as well.  I diecut the word "hello" from some new alphabet dies being released this month (yay!  I love alpha dies!)

Stitched-Hello

Behind each letter I stamped a small flower cluster from Stitched with Love.  Around the stitched circle I put a Rustic Wreatch diecut (released last month).  Along the bottom I stamped one of the background designs from BB: Needlepoint.

Lastly I have a unique wedding card that features the new Background Basics: Needlepoint set.  I stamped the image that reminds me of a wedding ring quilt onto white cardstock and heat embossed it in white.  Then I took some reinkers, watered them down a bit and used a brush to watercolor the design.

Wedding-Day

The "happy" sentiment is a new die (more about that later in the countdown!) and the "wedding day" is from Happily Ever After.  I added the Man and Wife diecuts to finish it off.
