Introducing Everyday Happiness & Year Round Happiness...

Welcome to the first group post for the November Papertrey Ink countdown!  Today the team is featuring a new set of dies called One Liners: Happy along with a couple of coordinating sentiment sets - one called Everyday Happiness, which covers several popular occasions, and a second called Year Round Happiness which covers all the major holidays and several smaller holidays/occasions.

I have two cards to share with you today, the first uses the One Liner: Happy dies along with the Everyday Happiness set to create a wedding card.

Happy-Wedding-Day

I used the inlaid diecut technique similar to the Make it Monday video I did a few weeks ago, except I shifted the bottom portion of the diecut cardstock to reveal a bit of the background contrasting cardstock...it created kind of a neat shadow effect.  The pretty leaf and flower clusters are from the previously released Stitched Sentiments set.  The banner diecut is from the In Stitches die set.  The "wedding day" sentiment is from the new Everyday Happiness set.

My second card uses another die from the One Liner: Happy die set, this time paired with a sentiment from the Year Round Happiness set to create a graduation card.  I used the inlaid diecut technique again, but this time I took it one step further -- I diecut 2014 using the new Bookprint Numbers dies from a panel of Smokey Shadow cardstock.  I then adhered that panel to a piece of lightweight copy paper and diecut it a second time with the "happy" die, cutting through the numbers to create a very graphic effect.

Graduation-Day

I kept the rest of the design very simple as I thought it made a great masculine graduation card.  I heat embossed the "graduation day" sentiment from the new Year Round Happiness set with gold powder.  Along the bottom I stamped one of the backgrounds from the new Background Basics: Needlepoint set in True Black ink.  Before mounting the finished panel to a Canyon Clay card base I diecut a row of dots using the Stitching Lines dies as an accent.
