Runway Inspired Challenge #44 + a Pink Paislee sale...
September 16, 2013
Hello! This week I'm honored to be playing along with the Runway Inspired Challenge girls. Each week, Jennifer selects a beautiful fashion image, straight from the runway, to be used to inspire a paper crafted creation. I'm a huge Project Runway fan, so this is a fun way to incorporate a little bit of that side of me into my paper-crafty side. I LOVE to look at the cards that result from the inspiration pieces...there is some serious talent there among those girls!
Here is this week's challenge image.
Wow, that is one gorgeous gown, wouldn't you say?! Here is my card inspired by it...
I used THIS die from Simon Says Stamp to diecut some Night Sky Shimmer cardstock. I layered a panel of vellum over the top, but didn't make it the whole length of the card so that some of the background would be exposed...similar to the way the bottom of the dress has the sheer overlay. The sentiment was stamped using white Staz On ink and backed with a strip of cream shimmer cardstock to help it stand out just a bit more. It's one of those cards that looks much prettier in real life. :-) I think it would make a great wedding card.
Thanks for checking out my Runway Inspired card today. To see what the rest of the team created based on the inspiration photo above, be sure to visit the Runway Inspired blog.
P.S. I'm posting on the Pink Paislee blog today. It's sketch week...here's a peek at one of my cards based on this week's sketch. Click on over to see it in full along with another card.
P.P.S. Pink Paislee is also having a digital sale. All items in their digi store are half price, including digital cut files like the Chevron Background I used in my sneak peek photo. Here's the details...
