Papertrey Ink September 2013 Wrap Up...

Well, we have come to the end of the September Papertrey Ink countdown festivities.  Today is the big day...all of the new products will go up in the store tonight, September 15th, at 10pm EST.

I have a few (SIX!!) more projects to share with you using these newly released goodies.

Let's start with Scent-imentals.  This set was available in the Stamp-a-Faire kits and is now being offered as a general release.  I used the watermelon image for my Stamp-a-Faire, but I couldn't wait to put those cherries to use!

I layered them over some Mat Stack 7 diecuts which I did a little creative diagonal trimming on.  The scratch and sniff arrows are mounted on a Double Ended Banner diecut.  The background is impressed with the new Stitching Impression Plate.

Next up is a little tag and pocket using the lates installment of the Polka Dot Parade series.  #8 in the series contains the cutest little polka dot pumpkin and lots of coordinating sentiments.  I paired up the images in this set with the new Instant Photo Pull Out dies to create a cute tag/pocket.

The tag pulls out to reveal the message inside...

Next up is a card using Kid Kudos.  So many great little sentiment bits in this set.  I stamped them in lots of ink colors, then pieced together that cute little tree...the coordinating dies make it so easy.

Favorite-Girl

I think those little tiny bicycles are my favorite elements from this set...so cute!

My last three cards are all holiday.  First is Boutique Borders.  This set is just so pretty for Christmas.  I could see pairing this with all sorts of other holiday sets you might have in your collection.

Bordered-Christmas

I paired it with the snowflakes from Peace Be Still and did a little masking around the inside edges of the frames.

Next is a card using Stained Glass.  I heat embossed the angel image onto clear cardstock using gold embossing powder.  Then I colored it with Copics.  I popped it up to create a shaker element.  Inside is filled with glitter and tiny star diecuts.

The background was created by embossing some white cardstock with the Woodgrain Impression plate, then cutting it into strips and layering it to create the effect of siding on the outside of a building.  I grew up going to a little white church, and this reminds me of that.  I stamped some branches along the top using Bells & Boughs.

Last but not least is one more holiday card that uses a combination of a few new products.  I used the wreath from the new Holiday Cheer set and the "joy" from Wonderful Words: Joy.

Joy-Wreath

I layered everything over a Cover Plate: Circles diecut which is adhered to a piece of clear cardstock.  I didn't replace the circle behind the letter "o" and created a shaker element filled with glitter.  I seem to have a thing with shakers this month, don't I??

Phew!  Did you make it all the way to the end?  That was a whole lot of projects for one post.  :-) To see even more projects using the new September release goodies from Papertrey Ink, be sure to hop around to the other team members...
