The 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge is celebrating its one year anniversary. What is the 10 Minute Craft Dash, you may ask? It's a challenge hosted by Paulina from the Pretty Pink Posh blog in which you are to make something crafty in 10 minutes or less. Fun!
And since the challenge is one year old, they're celebrating with a blog hop and some great prizes. You probably arrived here from Debby Hughes' blog and your next stop along the way is Jennifer McGuire. You can always visit the Pretty Pink Posh blog to see the entire blog hop list and read all the details for entering the challenge hosted there. They're giving away a $50 Ellen Hutson gift certificate + a prize pack for the winning creation.
Also, they have FIVE prizes for random comments left along the blog hop. So comment on this post to enter for that drawing!
On to my card. The challenge was to create a birthday card in, of course, 10 minutes or less. We were allowed to pull out our supplies before starting the timer. Here's my stash of stuff I pulled out to use...(pay no attention to the timer on my phone which I realized before starting my card, but after I took this photo, was set for 10 hours instead of 10 minutes. Good thing I changed it before starting or that would have been an epic fail. :-) )
And here's my card...
The most time consuming part was defninitely stamping the multi-colored sentiment. I masked off each line with a piece of scotch tape before inking it up (then take the tape off before stamping - repeat for each line of the sentiment). It's not perfect and had it not been a 10 minute challenge I probably would've taken more time to get it just right, but it is what it is.. :-)
All this in exactly 9 minutes and 38 seconds. I had a whopping 22 seconds to spare. My daughter came in my craft room in the middle of me making this card and she asked "why are you rushing?" I told her I was kind of playing a game. :-)
Thanks for stopping by -- I hope you can find a few minutes to play along with the 10 Minute Craft Dash this week!
Now on to the next blog on the hop, Jennifer McGuire, who I'm sure has something amazing to share with you, as usual!
