Ultimate Birthday Inspiration...
July 13, 2013
Welcome to the first group post day of the Papertrey Ink July 2013 countdown! Today the team is featuring all of the new birthday themed products that are coming your way this month. If you're like me, birthdays are the number one thing you create for. It seems like with three kids in the house someone is always either having a birthday or attending a birthday party. Birthday sets always get lots of use around here!
All of the new products I'm previewing today will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website at 10pm Eastern time on July 15th, 2013.
Nichole challenged us to create two project for you today using these new products. My first project uses a fun new die called Rainbow Circles. This new die lets you cut all of the elements to create the amazing rainbow focal point on my card today. Isn't it fun? I love it!
In the center of my rainbow circle I chose to put the piece of cake image from the Table Service set. The sentiment is from the new Inside & Out: Birthday II set and it works perfectly to tie everything together. The stripes in the background were done with the Background Basics: Super Stripes set. The hearts are from a new set also being released this month called Balloon Bash. I thought this card had a sort of 80's vibe...something I would have LOVED when I was a little girl.

Up next is another birthday card using lots of the new dies. There is a new By the Numbers Border die as well as mats for the ever popular By the Numbers dies. I love the versatility they will add to the classic By the Numbers die sets - one of my favorite die sets ever!
I diecut the By the Number Border die twice at an angle across the front of my card panel. I then diecut the By the Number Mats from Hawaiian Shores cardstock and stamped them with the stripe image in the Bitty Bacground Blocks II set, also new this month. Also new are the Suffix Style dies, which I used to cut the "th" from both Hibiscus and White cardstock to create a shadowed effect. The circular "wish big" sentiment as well as the small "happy birthday" are from the new Inside & Out: Birthday II set. The candles are yet another new set....Wishes Come True. Whew...that was a lot of new stuff on one card. Are you still with me? :-)
