Scrapkit Studio Christmas Countdown Album Kit + an Etsy update!
November 27, 2012
Hey there! I hope you all had a great holiday weekend. Ours was wonderfully quiet. I had some time to play with the kids, do a little sewing, and I even got a book read! I hope yours was as enjoyable as ours.
I have a fun little post for you today. I get to share an album that I created using the Scrapkit Studio Christmas Countdown album kit. Scrapkit Studio specialises in creating kits that are quick and easy to put together. The chipboard base and coordinating pages are all pre-cut, so they're super fast to put together. I used the Christmas Countdown kit to create a December Daily-type album.
All you really have to add is adhesive! I created this entire album in just a couple of hours.
You can use just the elements in the kit, OR you can incorporate some stuff from your stash to make the album uniquely yours. For my album, the only items I added from my stash were plain cardstock and some clear journaling inserts that I created by stamping some journaling lines with White Staz-on ink.
I used the same basic layout on each page of this 26 page album. I used some plain cardstock from my stash to add a 3 1/4" x 10 1/2" strip of cardstock down the center of each page. This will be the place where I add my photos -- it would be great for little instagram photos (or since I'm lame and don't do Instagram, I can just print my photos at home -- I'm planning on printing them at 3x3).
I did print a few older photos to show you what it will look like once the photos are added. Each page will have enough space for at least two photos, plus some cute stickers or labels from the kit.
Here's a close-up of the clear journaling cards I added. I did them this way so that I'll have plenty of space for journaling without interfering with my photos.
This was a super fun project to put together - be sure to hop on over the Scrapkit Studio to check out this kit (and her other cute kits as well!)
And finally.....I've updated my Etsy shop! This summer and fall were just too busy to pay too much attention to my poor, lonely Etsy shop, but good news! I've just listed a bunch of holiday items. I'm hoping to get all of my holiday cards listed within the next week, so check back in my shop often for more new items. After I get the holiday things cleared out I'll start listing everyday items!
