CAS-ual Fridays Stamps...
November 09, 2012
Happy Friday to you! I hope you're getting a head start on a fun and relaxing weekend. We've got a busy one here...the kids have been off school a lot this week because of parent/teacher conferences and Saturday we'll spend the day at my daughter's swim meet. I love stuff like that though, so it's all good!
I'm popping in with a card today using some stamps from a brand new company called CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. The name isn't new...Michele has been the host of the CAS-ual Fridays challenge blog for a long while. But now she's offering up great stamps as well. They are high quality and made in the USA...and totally fun! Michele was kind enough to surprise me with a little package in my mail box last week, and I couldn't wait to make a card using one of her sets.
This card was made using the Truth Is set. The flowers are simple and fun. I heat embossed them onto different colors of cardstock, cut them out and arranged them around the sentiment.
I added a bit of shading with some Copics and colored in the open spaces in the letters of the sentiment.
The card was totally inspired by this image that Cath posted on the Moxie Fab World blog the other day. I love the little pop of color inside the letters. So fun and I'm going to have to remember to try that again sometime.
Thanks for stopping by today! I'll see you back here tomorrow for the start of the November Papertrey Countdown! :-)
