June 2012 Papertrey Ink Release...
June 15, 2012
HI there! I hope your week went well and you're ready for some weekend fun! I am glad to have all of my work finished for the week and I know I sure am ready for some relaxation! I'm here today to share the rest of my June Papertrey Ink release projects with you.
There are a lot of projects to share today! 6 to be exact! That's a lot! Which means lots of great new products for you all to choose from. :-) All of these new stamps sets, dies and papers will be available tonight (June 15th, 2012) beginning at 10pm Eestern time from Papertrey Ink
First up is my favorite of the whole bunch, a card using the new Lovely Layers stamp set.
I went for a bold color combo on the stamping, but the background is very neutral and the vellum diecuts layered over the stamped flower just soften everything up. It feels bold and fresh, yet it has a softness to it.
Next is a fun little number using Dawn's new We Go Together sentiment set. I love sentiments like this that are design elements all in themselves.
I nestled some flowers on top of this banner sentiment. The stems/leaves are from Flower Fusion #12 and the blossoms are from the new Lovely Layers set. I hand-trimmed the banner image, leaving extra length on the ends so I could fold it to create a dimensional banner. The patchwork mat behind the stamped panel was created by trimming some 2 1/4" Limitless Layers Square diecuts.
Next is a card using Heather's latest set from the Framed Out series. I thought it was a great masculine card that would be perfect for a graduate or even a deployment.
I diecut the tags from woodgrain paper and popped them up with foam, but before I did that, I stamped the coordinating tag image. I love that the stamp is actually slightly larger than the die -- it allows for lots of layering possibilities. The sentiment along the bottom edge is from the new Military Hero sentiment set and the circle background was created with the circle from Hello Sunshine.
Next up is patriotic feeling card that uses both the Military Hero and Military Stars sets as well as a sentiment from We Go Together.
A little stamping, some baker's twine and a strip of coordinating paper is all this card needed. Very quick and easy. The background was embossed with the Simple Stripes Impression plate.
Next up is a bright and fun birthday card using the newest addition to the Heart-2-Heart series. That little banner is just so sweet and there are tons of occasions it could be used for.
I created the patchwork background by piecing together some of the new 2 1/4" Limitless Layers Square diecuts. They don't fit together perfectly because of the way the corners work out, but I think it's still fun...it just adds to the whole patchwork feel. The banner and sentiment were simply heat embossed over the top.
Last but not least is a super bright and colorful card using Background Basics: Rainbows. I took the name of this set quite literally and created a rainbow background.
The sentiment is from Hello Sunshine. I stamped the sunrise image from On the Farm above it and embossed it with Mustard Zing powder. The frame was cut with the new 2 1/4" Square Limitless Layers dies.
