Papertrey Ink May 2012 Release...

Hey there!  Can you believe it's the 15th of the month once again?!?  School is out in just a few days here.  Deep breath....not sure I'm ready for summer yet!

I'm here this morning to share the remainder of my Papertrey Ink May release projects with you.  I have just three left today that haven't already been shared earlier in the countdown.

First up is a card using Maile's new Happy Hydrangea set.  I gave this one to my mom for Mother's Day.  I used lots of different shades of blues and purples for the hydrangeas.

That Royal Velvet ink is new this month and it is gorgeous!  Such a rich, deep color.  I put a bit of paper lace and woodgrain paper along the bottom edge...I think they almost look like they're peeking over a rustic wooden fence.  The background was embossed with the new Simple Stripes Impression plate...can't get enough of that one!!  I embossed it first, then stamped it because I wanted to give the hydrangeas a more rustic feel and allow the texture of the background to come through.

Next up is a fun and happy card using the new Heart-2-Heart #4 set.  I created a fun background by stamping lots of numbers from the Birthdays by the Numbers set and adding some Doodlebug border stickers.  I've had these curly borders in my stash for a while and they remind me of a curly-q phone cord, so I though they'd be perfect for this project!

Hello

For the focal point, I diecut a circle from my stamped panel using the LL: 2 1/2" circle die.  I created a frame from Poppy cardstock by cutting out the pinked edge circle, then cutting the plain circle from the center of it.  It's a quick and easy was to create a frame.  I added a bit of that curly border sticker to my phone as well!  I think the sentiment stamped at an angle adds a bit of fun.

And lastly, a card that uses a combination of lots of new products.  The label is from Heather's new Framed Out #4 set, the flower is of course from the new Happy Hydrangea, and the "happy" diecut sentiment is from the Pretty Peonies die collection.

Happy-Happy-Birthday

The "happy birthday" that I stamped over top of the diecut is from the new Fillable Frames Sentiments set.  I added a vibrant border along the bottom using the new Chevron Stripe Border die.

Well, that wraps up another fun release!  I had so much fun creating projects with these new goodies and I hope you had fun following along.  Happy shopping to you all tonight!
