Papertrey March Release Projects...
March 15, 2012
Welcome to the last of this week's posts for the March Papertrey countdown. I'm here today to share the rest of my projects using the new products.
First off is probably my favorite for the day, a card using Framed Out #2. I used the frame images to create a unique background.
It was super fun to stamp this background and I'm thinking it would be fun to try in different colors and with different little goodies to fill the inside of the frames. I used flowers here (from Tag-its #5), but I bet there are a ton of different images you could fill in those spots instead.
Next up is a soft little number using Little Bitty Bird Additions and Background Basics: Wrought Iron. There is an adorable little picket fence in the new Little Bitty Bird Additions set, but I decided to make these more "city" birds and perch them on a wrought iron fence. :-)
The fence was stamped with versamark and then heat embossed with white powder. I used a small stamp from the Border & Corners Oval set as a decorative finial at the top of the fence. I'm sure there are lots of other little stamps in other sets that would work for this purpose as well (as the PTI forum ladies are already brainstorming! Hee!) I sponged Spring Moss and Spring Rain ink over the embossing. The branches up in the corner are from the original Little Bitty Bird set.
Next up is a rainbow colored birthday card using Tremendous Treats: Birthday. I combined the big hot air balloon from the Tremendous set with the smaller one from the original Tiny Treats: Birthday set. That's one of my favorite things about having the two different size sets...I can combine the images for lots of different looks.
The clouds are from Up, Up and Away and the sunburst in the background is from Nativity Silhouettes.
I must be having a thing for rainbow colors lately...here's another. This one uses the adorable balloons from the new Heart-2-Heart #2 along with the monkey from Tremendous Treats: Birthday. I just love that little monkey...we kind of have a thing for monkeys around our house. ;-)
The patterned papers are from the Fancy Pants Childish Things collection...I just love that stripe and have used it a ton on different projects lately!
Next up is a card using On the Links. I used Mat Stack 3 as a background for my golf ball and tee.
This would be a fun card for a guy or young man that likes to golf!
And last but not least, a card using World's Greatest. I create some word art using lots of sentiments from the set.
The globe image is from Masculine Motifs, but everything else is from World's Greatest. A Little Argyle finishes off the bottom.
That's all for this month's release projects! It's been fun! Now be sure to hop around to the other DT gals to see the rest of their projects for the month. Thanks for stopping by!
