February Release Projects...
February 15, 2012
Well, the Papertrey Ink 5th anniversary festivities are winding down! Boo hoo! It's been a fun 10 days. :-)
There are two posts today. If you missed my post featuring the new anniversary set, you can scroll down or click HERE. The team is also sharing any remaining projects that we haven't featured on our blogs yet...that's what this post is all about!
First up, my project using Framed Out #1. I had a happy discovery...the square images from the Take Three sets fit nicely inside this Framed Out frame. I used Take Three: Summer on my card here...
I layered the frames over some Rosie Posie blooms and finished off the background with the new BB: Medallions set.
Next is a colorful card using the new Beautiful Butterflies. One can never have too many butterflies, can you? I love the modern look of this set. I paired it with one of the new Movers & Shakers dies. I used the "happy" slider die as my card front.
I diecut the bottom edge with the Edger #1 die and added a rainbow cardstock strip peeking from underneath.
Next is a project using the first set from the new Heart-2-Heart series. I used that cute little mug along with the new Zipper die to create a birthday gift card holder. The zipper die is the perfect size for holding a gift card. I diecut some corrugated cardboard to embellish the middle strip of that cute mug!
To construct the gift card holder, I cut two of the verticle Zipper dies and stitched them together with the gift card sandwiched in between. When the recipient peels away the zipper, the card is revealed. Such fun and and these could be made for any season/occasion!
Next up is a card using the new Ligthen Up set. I chose to pair it up with some images from On My Couch along with one of the door images from Door to Door to create a fun new home congratulations card.
I used the cloud die to mask off the background which I sponged with some Spring Rain ink. Looks like they're just moving in, huh? :-)
And last but not least, a card using the new Lovely Leaves set. I used that fun striped paper from Fancy Pants as the inspiration for the colors in this bright and cheery card.
I nestled some Little Bitty Birds in the branches. The sentiment was stamped onto a Photo Finish diecut.
Wow...what a fun 10 days it's been! I hope you enjoyed all of the anniversary festivities, challenges, product peeks, and prizes! You can check out the other DT girls' creations by clicking the links below...
