It's time once again for the Papertrey countdown festivities! November is looking to be another fun month. Today I get to help introduce two new sets (+ lots of other goodies). All of the new products I'm using today will be available from Papertrey Ink's website on the 15th of November.
The first set is an addition to the Tiny Tags line-up. Tiny Tags II is filled with more tag images to coordinate with the Tiny Tags dies. This time they're done up in stripes instead of polka-dots. There are also a ton more sentiments...I think I counted 48 of them! Jeepers!
Second set debuting tonight is a background set by Maile called Background Basics: Circles. True to Maile's style this set is filled with all kinds of stamping options. I'm sure I didn't do it justice and I'll go visit her blog after awhile and be blown away by all of the clever things she's done with it! :-)
So on to the projects, huh?
First off is a holiday card using both of the new sets being introduced tonight along with a slew of other new products! The focal point of the card was created by stamping some of the new Tiny Tags II images along with some of the new sentiments from the set. I overlapped and layered them for a fun grouping. The larger "love" was done with a brand new die collection called Block Alphabet. LOVE!!!! I pretty much want to use that on everything.
And then there's the background of the card, which was done with a brand new die that's part of a brand new series of dies called the Cover Plate series. I think it's just so pretty. Behind that pretty diecut pattern is some of the new patterned paper this month called Holiday Flourishes & Swirls, designed by Heather Nichols. It's probably one of my favorite Papertrey paper collections to date.
I should probably also mention that the "Peace love joy" sentiment is from the Christmas Blessings set which was released a few months back. Below the sentiment I stamped a row of one of the patterns from the new BB: Circles.
Next up is a sweet and simple baby card. Here I mixed the original dotted Tiny Tags with the new striped Tiny Tags II. The Block Alphabet dies are the perfect size to layer over the tags as well. Sweet.
I stamped the "bundle of joy" sentiment from Tiny Tags II onto the heart tag and tied it to the letter "b". Using Versamark, I stamped a row of BB: Circls behind the tags for a subtle effect. Also behind the tags are a few strips of patterned paper, one of which I diecut with the new Pinking Shears border die. Everything is layered over a half of a Parisian Lace doily die.
Last up is a bright and cheery congratulations card. I used BB: Circles to create a fun border along the side and bottom of my card. I stamped "congrats" from Think Big Favorites #5 and added the "oh my stars" sentiment from Dawn's new Glory Be sentiment set.
For an accent, I diecut three Tiny Tags stars from patterned paper and strung them on a Maya Road star trinket pin. The centers were embellished with matching gems.
