Papertrey July Release Part 1...

Hey there!  I'm here to share a few of my remaining projects from the Papertrey July release.  There was so much stuff this month!  I have six more cards to share.  I'll post three today and the other three sometime this weekend.  

First off is one of my favorites using the new Background Basics: Vine.  I stamped the simple vine from the set using VersaMark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.  I then used the Leafy Vine Border die to diecut a strip.  I used the left-overs from the diecut as a mask and masked off the stamped/embossed strip.  I then filled in the leaves with different colors and patterns using the Bitty Background Blocks.

It reminded me of a patchwork quilt, so I filled in around it with a few more different background stips that also reminded me of stitching.  I stamped the sentiment and needle from Quilter's Sampler and the "thread" for the needle is from Happy Trails.

Next up is a card using Friendship Jar Summer Fillers.  It's prettier in real life, I promise.  This card just didn't photograph very well.  I embossed the hydrangea image with white embossing powder and then water-colored it using some of my Stampin' Up! dye inks.  

I created a piece of notebook paper using the notebook lines from It's Official and included the pen and butterfly from Happy Trails.  My intention was to make it look like a little writing desk with a pretty jar of flowers setting on it.  Not sure I accomplished that...I think this was one of those that definitely looked better in my head.  :-)

And the last card for today is a simple little number using Congrats All Ways along with the frame from the new Tag-its #6 and the graduation hat from Tag-its #4.

I used the same sentiment building idea from this post a few weeks back.  I'm still having fun playing around with that concept!
