Happy Trails...

...to you! Now you're humming that song, aren't you?
The Papertrey Ink team is back for the second group post of the June countdown! Tonight we are featuring what I think has got to be my favorite set this month. It's called Happy Trails and it's all about things that leave trails...butterflies, pens, pencils, etc... Cute!! I love the way the images are illustrated in this set...such a fresh and different look. And there are dies to match each image! Yay!
I chose to use the vintage style fountain pen image to create a set of note cards. I created these as a birthday gift for my grandma. She turned 86 this week and she loves to have handmade cards on hand to give to friends and family.
I paired the ink pen and a couple of the sentiments from Happy Trails with several of the images from Postmarks...they just seem to go so well together! I also added a pretty diecut ink well from the Sentimentals Cricut cartridge (which is one of my all time favorites!!)
And of course if I'm going to give these as a gift, they need a pretty presentation, right? I had a kraft gift bag on hand that was just the right size. I prettied it up with a Mat Stack 3 diecut stamped with a bunch of Postmark images for the background and stamped the Just a Note sentiment from Happy Trails and added the diecut pen.
The pretty patterned papers I used for this project are from Prima. Everything is linked in the thumbnails at the end of this post.
