Boy Basics...
PTI Anniversary and Ally Scraps (*Spoiler Alert*)...

April Papertrey!

What a fun release it's been again this month!  There are so many new, fun products, it's just been a treat to work with them all.

Here are the rest of my projects for the month....

I'll start with my favorite, a card using the new Ad Sense by Lisa Johnson.  I created a pair of jeans, complete with the distressed look that's so popular right now!

I added lots of stitching...the tags were stamped onto Kraft cardstock to mimic the look of tags on jeans.  I created the "rips" on the pockets by stitching in rows, then cutting between the rows with an exacto knife.  I used a file to rough them up a bit.  I stamped the wing image from Postmarks onto the pocket because to me it resembles some of the stitching found on jean pockets right now.  The denim-like patterned paper is from Fancy Pants' Like Father, Like Son collection.

Here's a close-up of the large Ad Sense label.  I added the year using Library Ledger Year Additions and the "No. 14" is from the new Train Tracks.

Next up is a girlie card...so glad that there wer so many different styles of stamps this month!  It made creating my samples even more fun than usual.  I plopped the Floral Fusion #3 flowers right on top of some Chevron Stripes and finished it off with a sentiment from Think Big Favorites #3.

Next is a card using Tag-its #3.  I used the single flower along with Guidelines Grid cardstock to create a fun background.  I topped off each cluster of flowers with a large polka dot from Polka Dot Basics.

Lastly, a baby boy card using Train Tracks.  I went a little psycho and paper-pieced the trains.  It really ended up not taking that long.  I just diecut the train from Vintage Cream cardstock to use as a base, then diecut several different patterned papers, stamped on them and cut apart bits and pieces to adhere to the base.  One other thing to note is that I used the Simple Circles Border die and cut it in half to make the scalloped borders...I think the uneven scallops ad a bit of whimsy.  The papers are from Echo Park.
