I have a special project for you today, friends. My very talented friend and fellow Go-to Gal Kim Hughes has begun a new adventure. She has branched out on her own and started a stamp company called Paper Smooches. I know many of you were sad when she stopped designing her line of stamps through Cornish Heritage Farms, so this is exciting news! That girl can draw like no-body's business!
Kim will be releasing three new stamp sets on the 1st of every month, beginning right now! Kim was kind enough to send me one of the February sets called Pretty Phrases. It's a set of 5 jumbo sentiments, all done in her adorable handwriting.
I decided to use the "Thanks ever so much" sentiment to create a teacher thank you card. I started stamping the sentiment in rows using different color inks, and it reminded me of a student writing lines....but that might just be from the 20 or so little papers my son has taken home recently because he can't seem to remember to put his name on his paper. But that's a whole 'nother topic.... But anyway, that's how the teacher card was born.
How adorable is her handwriting? The jumbo sentiments in this set are great for creating backgrounds or using as a focal point.
Besides stamps, Kim will be offering shaped card templates, a design center and so much more. There will also be a monthly challenge on the The Paper Smooches Blog. (Free digi stamps are involved) Participants will be eligible to be a guest designer for the following month.
