Happy Monday everyone. It's a new week...a new start, a fresh beginning. I'm hoping to knock a few things off my paper crafting to-do list as well as my around the house list. They laundry is piling up and the dust bunnies are starting to collect after the busyness of the past few weeks. Time to get on top of that, but it might have to wait until tomorrow...today is a visit to the dentist and serving lunch at school.
So this morning I have a few things to knock off my blogging list. First of all, thank you to all of you that left sweet comments on the Paper Crafts Blog Hop post. I'm so happy to see so many of you excited about this latest issue. I'm postitive you won't be disappointed. Now for a winner! The winner of a copy of Color Inspiration for Card Makers is Diana!

Diana - be sure to e-mail me using the link on the left side bar and I'll pass it along to the fine folks at Paper Crafts so they can get your issue mailed out to you!
Now how about a few more projects from the January Papertrey release? I hope you all were able to get the goodies you wanted on release night!
First off, a projects using Simple Sentiments. I created a notecard set that would make a perfect gift.
The notecards are created without the sentiments attached, but are included in a glassine envelope instead. I stamped an assortment of sentiments so the sender can customize the notecards to fit the occasion. Since all of the sentiments are the same size and format (a strip), they are perfect for this sort of thing. I added a little Scor-Tape to the backsides of each sentiment strip so that the sender can easily attach it. I attached one sentiment just so you can get an idea of how I intended them to fit onto the notecard.
A small glassine bag was the perfect size for the sentiments and it fit just right inside the Favor it 2 basket. The pretty papers I used here are from Pink Paislee's Sweetness collection.
Next is a card using Year of Flowers: Carnations. I kept it very soft and simple and added some diecut butteflies from the Love Lives Here die collection.
Lastly is a card using Healing Thoughts and Mat Stack 3 Collection. I must really be having a thing for butterflies this month...I couldn't seem to stop using them. Oh well, we need a little spring on these cold, dreary days, don't we?
I turned the mat stack image sideways and used two of them to create a unique focal point. And of course I couldn't help but use the new Edger #1 die along the bottom edge. I'm in love with the new series and I can't wait to see what Dawn will come out with next!
One more thing today....I've been working on something new for you from the Scrappy Gourmet. Dee sent me the most luscious package of goodies I have ever seen....and I created a kit for you that is pinky, lovey-dovey, frilly and oh so valentine-y. I hope you love it as much as I loved creating it for you. It should be ready for sale in a week or so. I will be sure to post here when it is. In the meantime, enjoy a few peeks and have a happy Monday!
