Quick and easy tags....
October 13, 2010
Hey again! Have you been following along with all of the Papertrey October release excitement? Sooo many great products being released again this month! Tonight the team is showcasing the new 2010 Holiday Tags set. This is a Papertrey tradition and this year definitely did not disappoint! The stamp designers really worked together to create another beautiful edition in this popular series!
So let's get on with a project, shall we? Nichole challenged each DT member to create a quick and easy tag using the new 2010 Holiday Tag set. I love tags...they are so quick and fun to create...and creating multiples of them is just part of the fun...seeing them all piled up makes my mouth water!
I created a multi-layer tag that is actually very simple to recreate. I layered several shapes, which is super easy with all of the new Papertrey dies available! The bases are made from Tag Sale #1 and #2. Over that I layered the largest star from the Seeing Stars set, and topped it off with one of the new Limitless Layers circles.
The stamped images are layered as well...I used the large circle snowflake from the set, layered with the "joy" snowflake sentiment and the postal image. I love how they all ended up working together!
I also stamped on the gift wrap. I just love wrapping gifts in kraft paper...it's inexpensive, it's all ocassion, and it goes with everything! The fact that it's inexpensive lets me splurge a bit on the toppings. I added Papertrey twine, ribbon, a button-topped flower, and a bit of greenery. Plug in your glue gun and just keep adding 'til your heart's content!
I couldn't stop at just one tag...I had to make a bunch. They look so pretty all tied up with a gift label...a perfect little gift to tuck in an envelope for a friend, neighbor, or secret sister.
So now it's time to hop around and let yourself fall in love with this set as much as I have!
