Opposites attract....
August 01, 2010
So this week I've been talking about all of the inspiring challenges that the Paper Crafts crew brings us! Right now they have some style challenges going on at Moxie Fab World in honor of the newest special issue...Card Style.
Well, if you visit my blog often, you've probably realized that I love vintage and shabby things...but if you read my Style blog hop post, you might remember that I said that I love looking at clean and graphic cards...probably the polar opposite of my own style. SO..I decided to see if I could sort of merge the two.
Can simple and shabby really get along?
Can they co-exist in the same creation?
Why yes...I think they can.
I had to tell myself to stop. To leave it be. But I love the results. It's simple. And it's shabby. And I kinda like it.
So what I've learned is that I can play around with different styles without completely loosing my own style.
And don't forget...if you play along with at least 4 of the Paper Crafts Connection and Moxie Fab challenges you can leave a comment on this post and I'll enter your name for a drawing for two free special issues!
And one more quick note! I have a new card kit available from The Scrappy Gourmet which you can read more about here and purchase here. This one is an all occasion set done in soft browns, teals and creams. You will get the supplies and instructions to create 13 cards! Here are a few of my favorites...
