Living color...
February 08, 2010
...color can be so exciting, can't it? You can set a mood, convey feelings, depict an era...color is powerful. Color is exciting to me...so many infinite combinations, it never gets old.
One of my favorite color experts is our very own Dawn McVey...we're all familiar with her popular color challenges and her ever inspiring use of color. Well, she's introducing a new product line through Papertrey called Color Couture and I am so excited for her. You are going to love it! Head on over to Nichole's blog to check out all of the details about Color Couture, PLUS another new product by Heather Nichols called Fillable Frames! It's all so exciting I tell ya! Seriously, the Papertrey gang has outdone themselves this year with new products! I can't wait!
Nichole challenged each member of the Design Team to create a framed piece using one of their favorite Papertrey color schemes. I chose to use the color scheme shown above. I absolutely couldn't do this challenge without including Aqua Mist! As far as I'm concerned, Aqua Mist should really be moved over into the Paper Basics part of the store because I think it goes with everything!! Seriously. Seems like I can hardly make a project without at least a touch of it thrown in there somewhere.
Here is my finished piece using those colors...Pure Poppy, Sweet Blush, Aqua Mist and Kraft, with a touch of Hibiscus Burst...yummm...
Soooo... head over to Nichole's blog, check out all of the info, and leave a comment. You could win the entire collection of framed Design Team pieces to use as artwork in your studio! How fun!
