Egg Hunt
February 10, 2010
Welcome to one of the *official* stops on the Papertrey Egg Hunt!
Look closely and you may find
a hidden egg that's one-of-a-kind.
Perhaps there are more than one or maybe even none!
The challenge is yours, enjoy and have fun!
If you are starting out here, make sure that you stop by Nichole's Blog to read about all the details along with the GRAND Prize affiliated with this fun contest!
Here is my project using the new Egg Hunt set by Heather. I created a soft, Eastery pastel card using a few of the patterned eggs from the set, layered with the new Frame die.
I love those soft, pretty colors!
I also created some super easy candy wraps to go along with it, using the new Frame die.
These are super easy to make! Here is a little tutorial in case you want to make you own!
Start by diecutting four of the frames. I stamped mine with the cute flower background stamp from the Egg Hunt set.
Then cut two narrow strips, approximately 3/8" x 7 1/4". Cover one side of the strips with Scor Tape.
Lay the diecuts face down, lining them up right next to eachother. Adhere the strips to the diecuts as shown, leaving the excess overhanging one edge.
Now fold the piece like this....
Then adhere the part of the strips that overhang to the first diecut to form a little box.
Then tie one end of a clear cellophane bag with a piece of ribbon.
Insert the bag into the box and fill with candy.
Tie the other end shut and you have a quick, cute ad easy little treat! I love the way it looks like a giant piece of colorful candy! Embellish it however you please!
Be sure to hop to all of the designer's to count those eggs!!
