More inside and out inspiration...
January 13, 2010
Seems like there's a bit of a theme here this week! I don't know about you, but when I give a handmade card I like the inside to be as pretty as the outside. But sometimes that's hard, and it's hard to know just how to finish it off, or what to say. Good news. Paper Craft's latest special issue, Card Creations Start to Finish features tons of card ideas, outsides and insides! I'm really excited to see the issue!
The cover is so pretty.. I just love the bright colors....
This issue is all about the different ways to create the "complete" card...from interactive elements, to sentiments with the punch on the inside, or maybe a cohesive design that takes you from the outside to the inside. I can't wait to see all the clever things the designers in this issue came up with! I had lots of fun working on my cards for this issue....such fun coming up with different ways to approach the "total" card. A few with windows, a few with split sentiments, a few with pull-outs, and a few other surprises....you'll just have to check it out for yourself. :-)
Well, Cath over at the Moxie Fab World blog is having a party today...celebrating Card Creations Start to Finish...she challenged a few of us to create a card based on the Start to Finish philosophy....I chose to create a card with the punchline on the inside..
You make me...
....hoppy. :-)
The front of the card features a portion of the sentiment, along with a little trail of hearts...leading you to the inside....where you find the rest of the sentiment and the cute little frog that's left the trail of hearts.
So! Head over to Moxie Fab World and check out the cards the other designers created....brand new, never seen before, created just for this post! I know I can't wait to see 'em! Leave a comment over there and you could win all of the cards! You can also play along with Cath's challenge and link up your inside and out card on the Moxie Fab blog.
And there's more....you can also head over to the Paper Crafts Connection blog where the're interviewing the three cover designers. Fun stuff.
