Introducing Blooming Button Bits....
December Papertrey and things along the way...

Tiny Treats

Candy-buttons

Don't these buttons look good enough to eat?  They are!!  Candy buttons...what a perfect Valentine's treat.  And the new Papertrey Tiny Treat stamp set is the perfect set to create packaging for them!  Are you ready for some fun Papertrey Design Team projects?  We're each showing a project using one of the images from the new Tiny Treats set.  I chose to feature the button image and came across this adorable button candy mold from Bake it Pretty.  They are super fun to make - Julia and I have been having a ball with them!  We used light blue, pink and red candy melts and flavored them with the oh-so-yummy Cinnamon Roll flavoring.

After we had all our pretty little buttons made, I created a simple packaging for them using medium sized glassine bags and a Nestability Labels One die for the topper.

The background is stamped with the new Background Basics: Hearts (can't put this set down!!).  That adorable round label is part of the Tiny Treats set and I can see using it for so many different things...wouldn't it be cute with the Teacher's Apple set?

I tied a punched heart to the bag with the "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment from the set, which works really well with the EK Success heart punch.  I also added a little 1/2" epoxy sticker to my button for that extra finishing touch.

And of course while I was working on these little valentine cuties, my mind was spinning with ideas for other things this set could be used for!  I think this button image and sentiment is perfect for baby projects!!  You could use the same button candy idea to make baby favors for a baby shower or baby announcements.  I used the images on a sweet little baby card.
