A hiking we shall go...
May 26, 2009
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. We had a nice, quiet, relaxing weekend. We took a little adventure yesterday to a nearby state park and did a little wandering and hiking. And then decided that hiking is quite an adventure with an almost-two-year-old who is determined by gosh or by golly to keep up with the big kids. Being carried, or even holding hands is so UNcool. We laughed so hard watching her try to climb the steeper parts of the path...feet sideways, one-inch-steps, waddling like a penguin, grunting with every step, but.... do NOT help me. She is such a determined little missy, and she managed to do most of the walk on her own.
A card to share with you today, inspired by Dawn McVey's color challenge this week. I've been wanting to play along since she started them awhile back, but just never seemed to get around to it! I loved her photo for this week and the colors she chose...
here is my tak on it...
Stamps: Damask Designs (sentiment); Background Basics: Text Style, Beyond Basic Borders
Ink: Raspberry Fizz, Smokey Shadow, Spring Moss
Cardstock: Raspberry Fizz, Vintage Cream
Patterned paper: Little Yellow Bicycle (green), WRMK (pink), Sassafrass Lass (scallop)
Other: Ripe Avocado Satin ribbon, Hibiscus button, K&Company diecut, Basic Grey chipboard and gems
You have until 10pm on Friday the 29th if you want to play along!! :-)
Ok, off to continue to try and get this household situated into a new routine...summer is fun, but it sure does come with it's own set of challenges, doesn't it?! :-)
