A hiking we shall go...

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend.  We had a nice, quiet, relaxing weekend.  We took a little adventure yesterday to a nearby state park and did a little wandering and hiking.  And then decided that hiking is quite an adventure with an almost-two-year-old who is determined by gosh or by golly to keep up with the big kids.  Being carried, or even holding hands is so UNcool.  We laughed so hard watching her try to climb the steeper parts of the path...feet sideways, one-inch-steps, waddling like a penguin, grunting with every step, but.... do NOT help me.  She is such a determined little missy, and she managed to do most of the walk on her own.  

A card to share with you today, inspired by Dawn McVey's color challenge this week.  I've been wanting to play along since she started them awhile back, but just never seemed to get around to it!  I loved her photo for this week and the colors she chose...
