Count it all joy...
April 27, 2009
Monday is cleaning and laundry day and I decided I needed a new attitude as I grumbled about doing my chores...cleaning the ring around the tub means my kids are getting dirtier, which means they are playing outside, which means the weather is getting nicer (yay for spring!)... crumb filled kitchen floors to sweep and scrub which means our tummies were filled....tiny shirts and dresses to wash, which means there are little bodies to fill them....windows to wash, which means we have a warm home to live in....meals to prepare, which means we have food to eat. And on and on...each chore leads to a reminder of a blessing. Much to be thankful for today as I work around my little home.
Then I cleaned my scrap table and made a card with some leftovers. Feels so good to create something just for the sake of creating, using things I love, just because I love them. No reason, no worries, no over-thinking. :-)
Ok, I'm off to take a cranky little body for a walk to try and cheer her up. It's taken me a few hours to write this post thanks to an encounter with a 5 (and a half!) year old with a stubborn streak a mile wide...but, it's all good, right? Count it all joy....
