Sunshine and squirt guns....
Just keep swimming..

Patchwork memories...

I hope you are having as beautiful weather in your part of the world as we are here.  Feels more like May than March, but we'll take it.

I'm busily working on some assignments for an upcoming QVC show, but just thought I'd pop in to share some springy enclosure cards I made with some papers and cardstocks I had lying on my table...couldn't let them go to waste, so I glittered up some spring chipboard shapes, coated them with Glimmer Mist for even more shimmer and created this set of four little enclosure cards.  The sentiments are from the PTI Tags for Spring set.

Notice the little table-top quilt in the background?  I hauled it out the other day...it's one of my favorite spring decorations.  It's special to me and holds lots of memories.... at about this time 7 years ago my husband's father was diagnosed with cancer.  At that time they lived over 400 miles from us and in the 6 months that he battled cancer, we made many, many trips back and forth over that long road.  To help pass the time I prepared a bunch of quilt pieces to take along and worked on piecing them together during the long car rides and through the many hours we spent visiting, reminiscing and just plain trying to keep it all together.  It was a nice distraction....and I finished piecing it together on the last trip we made.  After that I put it away for a year or two, but then decided that it needed to be taken out, quilted and put to use.  Now each spring I get it out and it reminds me of those special times....maybe not all the happiest... although there are many good memories from that time.

Well, golly....thanks for bearing with my and my sentimentalness tonight...I'd better get a few things accomplished before bed.  'night!
