Nap time musings
January 22, 2009
I've been thinking a lot about naptime recently. Why? Well, probably because my baby girl, who admittedly isn't really a baby any more (did I just admit that??), is deciding that at 19 months, naps aren't really her thing anymore. Yeah. But I soooo disagree. Naps are necessary and vital to growth and happiness and emotional well-being. Oh, and they're good for her too, I guess. :-D What's that old saying about there never being a child so well-loved that it's mother didn't love to see it sleeping? No, really, I love her to pieces, we are just at that awkward stage where she is beginning to out grow naps, but yet can't make it through the supper hour and til bedtime without one. None of my kids were big nappers, but I was hoping she'd hang on to it a bit longer than the others. I would love to hear what ages your kids gave up their naps and how you got through this icky stage. :-)
Ok, anyway, enough baby talk. I'd love to share a few things that I did manage to get finished despite the lack of my quiet afternoon time this week.... first is a fun Valentine card with a little bit different color scheme. Love the little "Meant to Bee" sentiment and had to pair it with some of the Urban Prairie BG.

And ok, I think I need an intervention. I am officially addicted to the Graphically Speaking Cricut cart. I used this cute boy image on a layout a few posts back and thought it would be fun to use on a card. Easy peasy, took me about 10 minutes. :-)

That's all for today...more next week. I'm off to cook some supper and pack my bags for the weekend. I am SO ready. :-)
