This little night of mine...
A blogging I shall go...

a quiet day...

We've had a quiet day here today.  The weather is cold and gloomy, so fitting for today.  We went to the funeral service for a wonderful woman from our church this morning.  After fighting cancer four different times since her first diagnosis 23 years ago, she finally went home to her heavenly father.  I admired her so much...her strength and courage and her testimony of faith even through the most difficult times.  She leaves behind a husband and a beautiful 10 year old daughter the docters called a miracle baby.  So hard to understand how one person should suffer so much, but His ways are not our ways and I guess there are some things we just aren't meant to understand.

After that, the girls and I had a quiet afternoon.  Julia and I worked on a birthday card for a little friend who is having a tea party tomorrow (moms are invited too, so I'm just about as excited as she is - heehee).  And now we're just hanging around, and I played around with a new design for my blog.  You like?

Happy Birthday Banner CardNot feeling real chatty, but I just thought I'd pop in here and share one more Papertrey project.

This card was made using the new Merry and Bright Additions.  Since I first saw this set I couldn't wait to turn those little trees upside down into a fun and colorful banner.
