Got Sweets?
Papertrey October!

It's going to look a lot like...

Chistmas around here for awhile!!  I've been working away on my first release projects for Papertrey and I am so excited to share them with you over the next few days.  First off are some holiday cards.  The design team was challenged to make a set of easily reproducable, mailable holiday cards using any of the September or October release sets.  I chose to use the adorable Made of Snow set which was part of the September release.  I used the "Celebrate the Season" sentiment from the new 2008 Holiday Tags collection and decided to make my snowman really look like he's celebrating by holding a banner.  The banner was created from the trees in the Made of Snow set, turned upside down and folded over a strand of Scrapper's Floss.  I colored the snowman and banner using colored pencils blended with mineral spirits.  A touch of ribbon and a punched snowflake with a glitter brad finish off the card.  You could easily change up the color scheme and give this snowman a more rustic feel by using some deeper colors and kraft cardstock!

Be sure to stop by Nichole's blog to see what all of the other designers came up with as well as a free download with all of the supplies and complete instructions for recreating all of the design team's cards.  Maybe I'll actually get my cards all finished before December 22, and now you can too!  :-)

Be sure to stop back tomorrow when I get to share some of my release projects!
