Baby steps...
Little house with a green door....

Summer doldrums...

do you have them at your house too?  The end of summer nears, school looms ahead, the kids get a bit restless (and me too).  Ahhh..  getting anxious for fall and cool weather, fires in our backyard and crackling leaves.  You too?

I had some peace and quiet this evening....Daddy took the kiddos to the pool.  I cleaned up my work table today and found tons of little scraps goodies that needed a home, so I put them to good use and made some cards.  I love to play with little scraps and trinkets.  I keep a small bin on the shelf above my work table and just toss in extra diecuts, bits of ribbon or little doo-dads that I don't feel like putting back in their packages.  These first to cards were made using some left-over diecuts from the layout in this post.  These were cut from some of my favorite papers, so I couldn't just toss them in the trash.  :-)

I also played around with some of the brand new Cuttlebug embossers and dies which I got in the mail yesterday - yay!  The "hello friend" sentiment above is new, as are the embossed borders.  I think those are my favorite - have you seen them?  Really fun.  Check them out here.  And some more here.  And here.  They're really fun beause each one is it's own little strip and you can emboss anywhere you want on your project.

Here's another card with more of the same left-over little diecuts and another new Cuttlebug sentiment.

And here's a little summery goodie using some left-over American Crafts Spring and Summer line.

And...last one...using some Cosmo Cricket paper, Scenic Route diecut and Basic Grey chipboard.  All little goodies I was too lazy to put away.  :-)

I still have a few more scraps laying around that need homes, so I'm off to use them up.  Hopefully I'll have a few more things to share over the weekend.  Oh, and I'll have some Lime Tart peeks as well.  We're off to the water park tomorrow for a day of fun in the sun.  Happy Friday Eve!  :-)
