Papertrey Ink May Countdown Day 5: Glorious Globes, Corner Adorner, Words to Live By, and Text & Texture: Roses...

We've made it to Day 5 of the May countdown, but believe it or not, we still have a ton of stuff left to show you!  Several of our monthly series mini sets are being showcased, plus a new background set I have coming out!  You can see all of the products being featured today right HERE!

All of these new products will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET tomorrow - May 15th from the Papertrey Ink store.

I have a ton of projects again today, so let's get to it!

First up is a card using this month's pretty Corner Adorner set, along with my new Text & Texture: Roses background.

I love that this bouquet can be used on corners, or turned upright and used as a more typical bouquet.  I diecut and stamped three of them and layered them in the center of a pinked rectangle, cut with the new Noted dies.  I also stamped a few tiny flowers around the main bouquet using the smallest flower from the Corner Adorner: February set.

The sentiment at the bottom is also from Corner Adorner: May, stamped onto a banner which was cut using the Direct Messages die.  The pretty rose background was cut using the largest stitched rectangle from the Noted: Simply Stitched die set, cut from Lovely Lade cardstock, then stamped with the two-step rose background using Lovely Lady and Autumn Rose inks.  The background stamp is large enough to cover any of the largest layering dies included in the Noted sets.  The card base was cut with the new Noted: Pinked A2 die.

Up next I have a quick and easy baby card using this month's Glorious Globes set. I started with a Spring Rain card base, cut with the Noted: Simply Stitched die.  I layered a pinked rectangle from the new Noted set, sponged with just a bit of Spring Rain ink.  I spritzed a bit of Color Shine Gold Lame onto both of these for a little shine.

I stamped the earth using this month's Glorious Globes set and stamped the "welcome to the world" sentiment around it using Classic Kraft ink.

I diecut the moon using a circle die (cut it once, then reposition it and cut again to create a moon), and added some stars which were cut with the Shaker Shapes: Star die.  Quick and easy and simple, and perfect for a baby boy.

Next I have a few cards using the new Text & Texture: Roses background set.  This set features a two-step background, sized slightly smaller than an A2 card front.  It is large enough to cover the largest mats in the Noted sets.

To create this ombre look, I started off by sponging some Hibiscus Burst and Bright Buttercup inks onto a stitched rectangle, cut using the Noted: Simple Stitched dies.  Then I stamped each layer of the roses, inking each end of the stamp with shades of pink or yellow, and using a sponge to blend the colors where they meet.  The bottom layer was stamped with Hibiscus Burst and Bright Buttercup.  The detail layer was stamped with Summer Sunrise and Raspberry Fizz.

I wanted to keep the rest of the card pretty simple to let this background really take center stage, so I just added a diecut sentiment using the Boho Rounds Sentiment die set.  Just a simple diecut heart is added for a finishing touch.  I also spritzed just a bit of gold Color Shine to the background before adding the sentiment.  The finished panel was put onto a Noted: Pinked A2 card base.

Next I used the Text & Texture: Roses background to create a dreamy watercolor effect.  I stamped the two-step background onto watercolor paper using Aqua Mist and Ocean Tides ink, then took a wet brush and blended the colors and works to draw the ink out a bit to give it a watercolor feel.

Then I stamped a sentiment from the new Words to Live By: Courage set and heat embossed it with Gold Powder.  I took a bit of matching watercolor paint and brushed over each word of the sentiment to create a subtle backdrop for the words.

I added the finished panel to a Noted: Simply Stitched card base, cut from Fresh Snow Linen cardstock, and added a few gold sequins to finish it off.

Next is a pretty wedding or anniversary card that combines the Text & Texture: Roses background with the pretty rose and leaves from the Farmer's Market set - they go so great together!

Text_Texture_Roses_Papertrey_Ink_Together_Forever4

I started off by stamping the rose background onto a Noted: Simply Stitched rectangle using a few shades of pink/coral ink.  I created an ombre effect by using two shades of ink, and blending the two together with a sponge where they meet.  I used Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, and Berry Sorbet.

The focal point is a circle which was cut using the new Shape Shifters: Circle 2 die.  I stamped a sentiment from the Text & Texture: Roses set.  I added the rose and leaves from Farmer's Market.  I also stamped some of the leaves directly onto the circle for a soft, layered look.

Lastly today, I have a patriotic card using the new Words to Live By: Courage, paired with the new Kaboom! stamp set that was introduced yesterday.  I thought this would be perfect for showing appreciation for someone who is serving or has served in our military.

I started off by masking off a rectangle in the center of my card panel.  Then I stamped lots of fireworks around the edges.  I pulled off the masking and added a gold border using a glue pen and some Nuvo gilding flakes.  The sentiment was heat embossed with gold powder onto a Direct Messages banner diecut.  The word "courage" was diecut from Pure Poppy cardstock.
