Papertrey Ink May Countdown Day 2: Sweet Treats, Hashtag Everything, Shape Shifter dies + More!

Welcome to Day #2 of the product introductions for the May Papertrey Ink countdown!  We have some fun summery as well as teen-inspired goodies to show you today!  You can see all of the new things being introduced today HERE.  They will all go live in the store at 10pm ET on May 15th!

I'll get straight to the projects!

First up is a fun birthday card that would be perfect for a teen...guy or gal, which is tough to do!  I used Lexi's new Hashtag Everything collection, which is just plain fun!

I started out with a panel of white cardstock, then used Soft Stone ink to stamp several sentiments from the Hashtag Everything set to create a text-print background.  I then used the center die from the new Shape Shifters: Circle 2 die set being released this month to cut the confetti circle.

I filled in the center of this circle with several stamped diecuts from the Hashtag Everything set.  The sentiment bubble was added using the new Hashtag Everything: Text Bubble dies and one of the sentiments from the stamp set.  The finished panel was added to a Hawaiian Shores card base, giving the confetti circle a pop of color.

Next I have a super fun, summery birthday card!  I once did an ice cream cone themed birthday for one of my girls, this would have been perfect!  I used Heather's new Sweet Treats stamp set and her new Big Ice Cream Cone die, along with the new Bold Borders: Burst die for the background.

I started off by diecutting the Bold Border: Burst from white cardstock, then I colored it with Copics.  I layered it over a card base that was sponged with pink and aqua inks.  I diecut the ice cream cone base from white cardstock and sponged some Summer Sunrise ink onto the cone portion.  Then I diecut the scoop portion from a piece of folded white cardstock, positioning the die so that it didn't cut the fold along the top of the scoop.  I sponged it with Hibiscus and Raspberry Fizz inks, then heat embossed a sentiment from the Sweet Treats set with white powder.  I added some sprinkles to the top, which are from the Shakers & Sprinkles kit.

Cutting the scoop from a folded piece of cardstock gave me this little interactive element!  On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Sentiment Staples: Birthday set.
